Through thick and thin, the LA Dodgers have absolutely conquered this season. While they stand essentially unbeatable at the top of the Major League, even luck has consistently supported the Dodgers and their player.

This time, it’s utility man Chris Taylor, who gets support in a very peculiar way from the bleachers. Taylor made his MLB debut for the Seattle Mariners in 2014 and moved to the Dodgers in 2016. Since then, he’s clung to the Dodgers roster and made it to the All-Star team in 2021. Moreover, in 2017, he won the MVP award for the National League Championship Series.

Chris Taylor’s homer almost injures a fan awkwardly trying to catch the ball

Last evening, as the Dodgers took on the Arizona Diamondbacks at home, something very funny happened. Taylor, in the fourth innings, smashed the ball. At first glance, it looked like the ball would easily cross the fence. However, an over-enthusiastic fan attempted to catch the ball.

Evidently, crediting poor hand-eye coordination, the fan dropped the catch. While he was in for a serious injury, the ball rebounded back from his chest and reached the field again. Markedly, the ball went back into motion and Taylor ran a double.

However, after reaching second base, Taylor awkwardly waited for the umpires to determine the validity of the homer. Eventually, the umpires awarded the Dodgers a homer, which translated into a three-run homer. This is how fans reacted:

Palpably, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-2.

The LA Dodgers are witnessing an unbelievable surge in form since 2013. Markedly, since then, there is not a single instance where the Dodgers haven’t made the postseason. Moreover, they have also made three World Series, in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Similarly, they have carried this decade-long form in 2022 as well. Now, the Dodgers are leading the National League and Major League Baseball with 102 wins and 44 losses at 0.699.

The Dodgers will easily walk into the postseason. But will they be able to carry this form and reach the World Series and conquer it as they did in 2020?
