What’s next for the Padres?
As things stand, the San Diego Padres and New York Mets have won one game each. And whoever wins the last game will win the series. Since the Padres have a relatively better offense, they do have an edge over the Buck Showalter-led team.

On the other hand, the Mets also have Chris Bassitt on the mound. With a 3.42 ERA, Bassitt is not the best option but the only option for the Mets. Although Bassitt has won 15 games from the mound this year, considering their batting lineup, the Padres might have an upper hand against the Mets.
