From baseball to business, there is nothing Alex Rodriguez can’t do. After one of the most successful careers in MLB, Rodriguez traded his bat for a pen and has never looked back. Founder and CEO of A-Rod Corp as well as part owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the former New York Yankees player now has a net worth in millions.

Make no mistake, the former Yankee still stands at number 5 in the career HR list, but Buffett once bet that he would break the record one day. Back then, Barry Bonds stood at the top with 762 and as of 2023, he’s still there. Buffett’s bet on his mentee never ended up coming to fruition.
