Derek Jeter built a grand legacy for himself in baseball and became a sporting royalty. He is one of the richest MLB players around. But he didn’t build his empire overnight. A fact that his supermodel wife, Hannah, wanted to clarify to their children in 2017. 

Derek and Hannah got married in 2016 and have been living happily together since. The couple has three daughters, namely Bella Raine, Story Grey, and River Rose. Living a family life with an old-fashioned touch, they mostly avoid publicizing their private outings. They do so by maintaining limited contact with social media.

Derek Jeter has always credited his parents for instilling a strong mentality in him. His parents cared about his progress and kept a close eye on him. They prepared him for the worst and taught him how not to be baffled by failure. Derek was ultimately able to withstand all sorts of challenges because of being brought up on such hardy psychological grounds. 

Meanwhile, Hannah Davis (Jeter) grew up in Saint Thomas in the Virgin Islands. She lived a fairly common life there, away from the glamor and glitter. Even after moving to New York, she didn’t have any idea about Derek for a long time. It was only after a personal acquaintance; she found out about the mighty social stature of Derek.

Therefore, it was their ordinary beginnings that helped them stay grounded despite their present elite status. Speaking in an interview with The Players’ Tribune in 2017, Hannah said, “Derek and I will want our children to understand that the lives they’ve been given are so fortunate, in so many ways. We’ll want them to learn to help others, and to care for others, and to give back to the world.” 

Derek became a legendary baseball icon, playing as the New York Yankees shortstop from debut till retirement. He is a 14-time All-Star who won five World Series championships. Whereas, Hannah is a former television personality and supermodel with lucrative international modeling assignments in her portfolio.
