As the days go by, the 2023 MLB season draws closer, with fans waiting in anticipation. Currently, Spring Training games are ongoing, with teams participating in the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues. The New York Yankees are playing in the Grapefruit League and have looked okay in their games. The team has picked up a few wins, with certain players achieving incredible feats. 

Unlike the veterans, the spring season has been exceptionally good for young talents for the Yankees. Most recently, a Yankee pitcher left fans awestruck with his incredible pitching feat. The Yankees reliever stunned everyone by striking out a batter within 20 seconds.

20 seconds seemed more than enough for the New York Yankees pitcher to get a strikeout

Spring Training games are generally meant for players to get ready for the season, but some players achieve incredible things. Notably, the Yankees reliever Wandy Peralta has been all over the internet for his 20-second strikeout. This occurred during the team’s Grapefruit League game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jomboy Media shared a video of the massive moment on Twitter and it goes by in a flash. 

In the Tweet, Jomboy Media says, “Yankees relief pitcher Wandy Peralta struck out a hitter in 20 seconds”. The first pitch caught the batter off guard, and before he knew it, he’d been struck out. Peralta seems to be thriving with the fast-paced game and the new pitch clock.

Fans have reacted to the amazing feat and were left in awe. Some lauded Peralta for his quick pitching. Others praised the pitch clock, saying it will improve baseball. The reactions were generally positive. 

Notably, this is very rare to see a pitcher striking out a batter within 20 seconds. And with the new MLB rules in the action, it will be a sigh of relief for the Yankees.

But Peralta isn’t the only Yankee player to impress in Spring Training games. A 24-year-old rookie impressed fans with a massive game-winning hit. But getting back to pitching, even some bigger Yankees stars approve of the newly introduced pitch clock. One such person is none other than Aaron Judge.

The newly introduced pitch clock has caused a divide across the baseball world. Some baseball purists have criticized the new rule, saying that it will kill the game. Others have approved, saying it is a necessary change. New York Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge is one of the people who approve of the pitch clock.
