The off-season has many players changing teams. While some like Teoscar Hernandez are coming back to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Walker Buehler is shedding off his Dodger blue. This is the first time that Buehler will be playing anywhere in MLB apart from the Dodgers. He signed a $21.05 million deal for one year with the Boston Red Sox. The contract also includes performance incentives and marks a fresh start for the two-time All-star.
Over the seven years, Buehler has built a good resume in the Dodgers. He has two World Series titles and an All-MLB first-team honor in 2021 too. And the latter was his best season, where he posted a 2.47 ERA and a 16-4 record. The 2024 season was a mixed bag because his 5.38 ERA and 1-6 record were no great numbers in the regular season. But his fortunes turned in the postseason with a 3.60 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 15 innings. Buehler also pitched six innings without allowing a run in the WS against the Yankees. And now he is going to the Yankees’ rival, the Red Sox. He showed off his new look on social media.

Walker Buehler is ready for a fresh start in 2025 with the Boston Red Sox. And he is making a statement even before making it to the diamond. After signing a one-year deal earlier this week, the star took to his socials, showcasing his new look. Also, focus on that No. 0 jersey!

“What’s up, Boston? #0 here… See y’all soon,” Buehler mentioned, hinting at the big things about to come with his debut with the Boston Red Sox. He used to wear No. 21 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and now he is turning on a new page with this new jersey. This rare digit #0 also has some historical significance in Boston.
The number has been worn by only two other players: Brandon Phillips and Adam Ottavino. And across the league, only 13 players have sported No. 0, making this jersey choice quite unique for Walker Buehler. Boston fans will be looking forward to what the ace delivers. For now, a healthy Buehler could only add to the rotation, which features Brayan Bello, Tanner Houck, Lucas Giolito, and former White Sox ace Garrett Crochet.

Teoscar Hernandez is officially back with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Who broke the news? Well, not Jon Heyman or any other journalist, but the man himself. Hernandez, being classic him, made the big announcement with a simple post on his Instagram story. He wrote, “I’m back,” with a fire emoji and a blue heart beside it.
Well, Hernandez signed a three-year, $66 million deal with the LA Dodgers, and it also has a club option for 2028. But Hernandez, after signing for a prove-it deal with the Dodgers, really made much of the chance. He batted. 272 with 33 home runs and 99 RBIs. His performance helped the LA Dodgers capture their eighth WS title.

Right now, Hernandez will be back in the strong lineup full of stars like Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. He will provide more power to the already-loaded roster. In the outfield, he will be joined by Tommy Edman and Michael Conforto. Well, right now the LA team still needs to decide whether to get back Clayton Kershaw, Joe Kelly, or even Jack Flaherty.
