Baseball is back for the first time in a while, with fans relishing the action. But Dominican Republic and Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is missing out on the action. He suffered a right knee injury, keeping him out for the foreseeable future. 

With Guerrero by their side or not, the Dominican Republic side is still stacked with talent, but will they will miss the service of their star first baseman. Showing his excitement for the ongoing WBC, most recently, Guerrero Jr. shared a positive update on his injury, hinting at a possible return for the Classic.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hints at a second-round return at the World Baseball Classic

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. suffered a knee injury, which ruled him out of the World Baseball Classic. But the Dominican Republic star recently offered a positive update on his condition. Guerrero Jr. shared an Instagram Story indicating that he may play in the second round of the tournament. This is a huge update for the Dominican Republic team, as they could use him in the tournament’s latter stages. 

According to a translated version of his story, Guerrero Jr. said, “See you in the second round”. This is a huge boost for the Dominican Republic as they aim to win the competition. With the United States and Japan as their main competition, they will need all the star power they can muster.
