Torres got adjudged as struck out by the umpire. The Twins pitcher,?Michael Fulmer, was pitching from the mound. However, Torres’ dismissal was more of a matter of bad umpiring. Not to take the credit away from Fulmer, but the last two strikes called were visibly questionable.?

The first pitch was a legal ball by Fulmer and a genuine missed strike by Torres. But the next two strikes appeared to be outside the batting box. However, the unfortunate Torres had no option. The next batter in was Isiah Kiner-Falefa who grounded out. That sealed the win for the Twins.?

On social media, there was a debate about the umpiring error against Torres. The ‘Talkin’ Yanks’ network posted a video on their Twitter account, blaming the umpire. The Post went by the statement, “Gleyber strikes out, 2 questionable calls.”

Another online Yankees game analyst by the name of ‘Yankees Muse’, also criticized the umpiring mistake by saying, “3 and 4 were called strikes in the 9th inning with the bases loaded in a one run game. You guys just get worse and worse every year, for every team.”
