After days of revolting against the front office, Oakland Athletics fans now have a major league player vouching for them. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, 30-year-old right fielder of the Philadelphia Phillies, Bryce Harper, has quite a lot to say about the Athletics and its fanbase. As the ‘reverse boycott’ dissipates, he expresses empathy towards Oakland, recognizing the challenges they faced.
Most recently, the Athletics rebelled against the Athletics owner Josh Fisher for his decision to move the team to Vegas. They did so by organizing a?Reverse Boycott?and bringing over 27,000 fans to the Coliseum. However, the very next day, not even half of those 27,000 fans were seen rooting for their team. Hence, within 24 hours of the apparent historical moment, it started to fade away. And now, 7x All-Star, the former Home Run Derby Champion, has stood up for the A’s fans.?

"I feel bad for the A's and their fans. They're so rooted in Oakland. Those fans bleed green…Do I believe they should leave Oakland?…No."

What do the fans think about the move?
From the moment it was announced that the A’s would be moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, fans have been fixating on only one thing, which has remained the same throughout. According to the fans, the issue behind the team being what it is, is the management, aka owner John Fisher, but not the fans.?
They’ve been adamant on the same. Fans think the team’s downfall started when the new management came in 2005. Since then, despite many tries, it hasn’t reached where it once was.?
