Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and his life, have always been surrounded by controversies. If not for his a few appropriate actions, no one would even dare to point their finger at the MLB legend. Notably, Alex Rodriguez once admitted to using PEDs (Performance Enhancement Drugs) during his playing days.

And the longtime New York Yankees has received punishment by Major League Baseball for the same. However, Lance Armstrong, a former American racing cyclist, was not glad about the fact that how sporting fraternities have double standards towards him and A-Rod. Despite knowing the fact that once A-Rod also consumed PEDs in his professional career.

Notably, using PEDs is strictly prohibited in any American sport. And not only Alex Rodriguez but the former ace cyclist Lance Armstrong has also paid a huge price for using PEDs during his professional career.

Lance Armstrong felt Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez did not receive enough punishment

Per ESPN, the Yankees legend admitted to using banned substances in his professional career. For which, MLB suspended him for a year, and he did not play a single game in the 2014 season.

However, Armstrong complained about a double standard perspective and lashed out at the Yankees legend. Notably, Armstrong also consumed PEDs in his professional career, per Fox News. But in his case, Armstrong had to sacrifice all his medals.

In an old report from Fox News, Armstrong took a dig at the Yankees legend and said that A-Rod did not raise half a billion dollars and helped the lives of people.

“Alex Rodriguez didn’t raise half a billion dollars and try to save a bunch of people’s lives,” Armstrong said. “That’s kind of the irony of this. Look, it’s great when somebody hits home runs and maybe does an event here and there for the Girls and Boys Club. This story held a place in people’s hearts and minds that was way beyond those guys.”

Notably, Armstrong had done a remarkable job with his Livestrong campaign and raised millions to help people.
