The New York Yankees probably never expected to have such a terrific season. While other teams are preparing for their playoff fight, the Yankees’ journey has prematurely ended. They are only one game behind in closing their season. However, the management of the team has handled it normally. Aaron Boone is still hoping for their growth after failure.

Though Boone is talking about hopes of coming back stronger, he, along with the GM, is considered the responsible person behind the downfall. Fans have been finding them the most vicious people on the team who block growth. However, despite all this, the brutal fact is that the team is out of October baseball. Surprisingly, their manager is still hopeful.

While the fans and players have been drowning in utter disappointment for the terrific season they faced, the manager of the team is trying to light up some hopes for them. During a post-game interview, he revealed, “We expect to be playing in October, and the fact that we’re not gonna be doing that beyond tomorrow is tough...” Following that, he again mentioned the hopes he has for the next season, “I do think there’s tremendous opportunity for growth through adversity and what’s been a tough season.”

The Yankees are probably performing their best after all their playoff hopes are gone. They have won the last two series and also won the last game against the Kansas City Royals. Though both teams tried their hard, but The Yanks played excellently and snatched the win. These wins can’t really help them get to the playoff berth anymore, but help them to create an exceptional record.

Yankees’ 31st Comeback Win of the Season

The Bronx Bombers had a roller-coaster run throughout the season. However they still managed to stick to their season winning streak. With the recent game won against The Royals, The Yanks reached 82-79 , extending their winning streak to 31 Seasons. Although it is not a record in MLB, it is the second-longest such streak in baseball history and third-longest among the four top professional sports leagues in North America. It is remarkable to note that the Yankees undergo a winning record every year since going 76-86 in 1992.

Recognizing the streak Aaron Boone said to NJ.com last week, “I acknowledge the streak as impressive, especially when you frame it. It is remarkable, but we go into certainly every season since I’ve been here with loftier goals than that.” Well, it’s disheartening for the ‘winningest’ team to have clinched a winning record and still trail at the fourth position in the AL East.
