Baseball being back in the form of Spring Training is indeed a dream come true for the sport’s fans. Even though baseball is not back entirely, every game and its advancement is already proving to be a source of pure entertainment for the fans. The most recent game between the Chicago Cubs and the San Diego Padres is a perfect example of that. Despite having some of the best players in the entire league, like Manny Machado and Juan Soto, the Padres failed to get even one hit in the complete nine innings of the game.?
This gave baseball fans a chance to mock the team for its subpar play. During this time, players gear up for an exciting regular season and their aim of winning the world series. Even though spring training is more likely the practice to get ready for the regular season, fans expect their team to have at least a couple of hits in the game. Hence, as soon as the short clip of the Padres failing to get one hit in the bottom of the ninth went up on Twitter, fans started to bash them brutally.?
