Despite his recent 500th career win, 50-year-old Boone is facing the brunt as injuries pile up. The season has not panned out well for the Yankees. The team currently owns a record of 76-74. In addition to the chances of finishing last place in the AL East since 1990, the team has dealt with back-to-back injuries, but this one in particular is going to sting more than usual.

Aaron Boone Is Set To Face The Fans’ Agitation Again

The Yankees are running out of time with only 12 games left this season. Now, already short of time, rookie Everson Pereira’s news of a possible IL stint has given cause to be nervous. It is not unknown that outfielder Everson Pereira has not played since last Thursday against the Red Sox. The reason is evidently his hamstring injury with that, Aaron Boone announced that the 22-year-old might land on the IL. So what’s next?

On one hand, Pereira can make it back in time before the season ends even if he takes a trip to the IL. On the other, it’s practically challenging with much less time left on the calendar. Quite enraging, isn’t it?

The much-loved rookie outfielder has been grappling a lot in his first taste of the big-league action. He currently stands at just .143/.241/.186 and a strike-out rate of 39.2 percent. With quite a lot at stake, the fierce Yankees Nation has a lot to vent.
