Life has not been kind to 202o CY award winner Trevor Bauer. After a great season and winning the award, he could play in the MLB and has missed out on a lot of action since then. He has now moved to Japan for better opportunities. He is currently playing in the Nippon Professional Baseball Organization for the Yokohama DeNA Baystars.
But his move has not been fruitful as the struggles have continued for the player. He has failed to perform on the expected line and is under a lot of stress. MLB fans have also shared their reactions to his woes. What are those? Let’s find out!

It seems Bauer has not been the same player since getting an award. MLB Metrics shared a video of Bauer pitching when he got hit for a home run. The post caption read, ” 3 years ago Trevor Bauer won the Cy Young, and now he’s giving up bombs in the Japanese minor leagues.”
Bauer has not done well in the league. He has played three games and holds a win-loss record of 1-2. He has an ERA of 8.40 in 15 innings pitched. Even though Bauer has claimed 18 strikeouts, but has got hit 26 times, conceding 14 runs and five home.

In comparison, Bauer had a great MLB 2021 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He played in 17 games and claimed 137 strikeouts at a WHIP of 1.00.

In 117 innings pitched, he allowed only 71 hits and 36 runs, making a tremendous impact on the team. Even though the 32-year-old is struggling, fans have opined in a mixed voice and have given balanced reactions!
