Without fans, a sport will lose its value, spirit, and energy. However, there are times when the same fans make questionable decisions out of absolute impulse that hurt the purity, integrity, and spirit of a sport. Similarly, a frustrated New York Mets fan completely lost his cool after his team exited the tournament on a humiliating note.

While New York Mets started off 2022 really well and continued to stand as the National League East Division table toppers all through, an end-season Atlanta Braves rise pushed them down the ladder to number two. Consequently, the broken Mets ended up in the wild-card round facing San Diego Padres.
Angry New York Mets fan pushes rapper
Whatever unfolded since then is right in front of us. Unable to make a strong mark, the Mets lost the first game, and came back in the second but faced a scoreless six-point defeat in the third and decider game of the series. More than the defeat, it was the extent of humiliation that hurt Mets fans, and subsequently, a Mets fan stained the name of his club by attacking Joe Dreamz, a rapper, in Queens.

This looked like an obvious display of frustration, repeated errors, and bad luck channeled toward a rapper on the streets of Queens.
However, non-Mets fans reacted sarcastically and humorously to this poor display of sportsmanship and fandom-hood. While some compared the Mets’ hits in the wild-card round to the rapper getting hit, others just questioned the need for this.
This is how fans reacted to the angry New York Mets fan losing his cool:

He actually just has the one “hit”, which is exactly how many hits the Mets had in Game 3

I’d ask if bro isn’t scared of losing his job but we all know Mets fans don’t have jobs 🤣

Right: he knew someone repping the Mets organization was in no way capable of producing a hit at a critical time and was more likely to choke down the stretch when needing hitting/production

You held your composure my guy. I would have gave homie the 1,2 combo piece lol. Mad respect joe dreamz. I'll see you Friday G. 🤙🏽

You understand they just lost and you are rubbing it in?
— Droz (@Under_My_Thumb7) October 11, 2022
Sheesh I love the Mets but that dudes just a loser

Good on you for your restraint, thankfully his buddies stepped in.

Notably, the next round of the postseason begins tomorrow – Division Series. And San Diego Padres will take on the National League and MLB toppers – Los Angeles Dodgers. Meanwhile, the other NLDS game will feature the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies.
Who will the National League Championship Series feature?
Since 2020, the LA Dodgers and Atlanta Braves have hoarded the National League Championship Series. Even this year, in 2022, the two teams topped their respective divisions, and with 100+ wins and a strong, well-balanced roster, they stand as the lead contenders for the NLCS.
