Although the 2022 MLB season started a bit late, it is probably going to be one of the most thrilling seasons ever. In a recent game, the Chicago White Sox manager, Tony La Russa, did something unexpected against the LA Dodgers, for which he is receiving criticism from the MLB community.
While playing against a team as strong as the LA Dodgers, the opponent team would do anything to win the game. Something similar happened in a recent game between the Dodgers and White Sox when Tony La Russa intentionally walked the Dodgers star, Trea Turner. However, this decision backfired on the White Sox manager.

Despite all the failed tactics from La Russa, the Dodgers won the game 11-9 against the White Sox. After losing the first game of the series, the Dodgers made a statement comeback in the next two games and clinched the three-game series.
MLB fans demand the White Sox fire Tony La Russa
With the series on the line, the White Sox manager did everything to defeat the LA Dodgers. But given the depth in their batting lineup, it is difficult to beat the Dodgers.
During the sixth inning of the game, when the Dodgers were leading 7-5, La Russa intentionally walked Trea Turner. But what followed this incident will haunt La Russa for many nights. When Max Muncy came to the plate, he smacked a three-run home run and insured the Dodgers’ victory.
Taking to Twitter, MLB fans criticized LA Russa for his controversial decision. Many fans even demanded the White Sox fire their manager at the earliest.

One fan compared La Russa to the former Angels manager Joe Maddon, while Vinnie Parsie of Fansided was in disbelief that people were still defending La Russa after his horrendous call.
Tony La Russa is acting just like Joe Maddon did in his last post game as Angels manager.

I can’t believe there are people that defend the managerial actions of Tony La Russa.
Even Jason and Steve can’t contain themselves from acknowledging that this is a clown show.

I don't *think* Tony La Russa is about to get fired, but that's the kind of game and press conference that does it. It would take players turning on him and I'm still not sure that's enough. The smugness in that presser was wild.
