Markedly, as reported by B/R Walk-Off, Tony La Russa will not be returning to the White Sox kit for the remainder of the 2022 season due to his conditions.
Tony La Russa hasn’t had the best season. In fact, he has also made a good amount of questionable decisions. There was a time when the Guaranteed Rate Field was filled with chants of “Fire Tony.” Similarly, carrying forward their frustration, some fans seemed happy and said, “doctors are White Sox fans” on hearing about Tony La Russa’s health condition. This is how fans reacted:
the doctors are white sox fans

How the actual fuck are some of you still defending Tony La Russa. Jesus fucking Christ. Barnum and Bailey are out of business and no longer looking for clowns.

Attn: Jerry, Kenny, Rick, etc. If Tony La Russa isn't back to manage the white sox next year, I will never ever, watch or attend a game again.

LaRussa has managed his last game…

I’ll help everyone out. Yes, the White Sox win the AL Central if they have anyone not named Tony La Russa managing this team. No, they are not a pennant threat let alone a World Series threat as constructed.

Mandatory retirement at 70 for everyone in every occupation.

I am shocked that the fans of an organization that REHIRED TONY LA RUSSA also have not learned how not to step on the rake repeatedly

While some of the reactions were borderline nasty, do you think they were uncalled for?
Chicago White Sox in 2022
Tony La Russa took over as the White Sox manager only one year after the Sox broke their 11-year absence from the postseason in 2021. With Tony La Russa coming in, the White Sox qualified for the postseason but lost the Divisional Series to Houston Astros. Moving on to 2022, the White Sox have had an average season at best. They are currently standing at number two in the Central Division with exactly 76 wins and losses at 0.500.
However, while the postseason berth is far away, it is not completely sold yet and the White Sox stand a far chance through both, the division and the Wild Card.
How will Tony La Russa’s exit affect the White Sox’ morale? Can they still make it to the postseason?
