In recent years, the New York Yankees have had a history of bad luck with their bullpen. They have signed multiple pitchers who seemed completely fine, only to be plagued by injuries after joining the Yankees organization. This off-season, the team made small moves, going ahead with a very similar team to the 2022 season. It had drawn quite a lot of doubtful looks, as fans wonder why the team didn’t sign more players.
But the Yankees did focus on pitching, making several additions to their bullpen. This initially made fans optimistic, but the latest news has once again dampened their spirits. One of the Bronx Bombers’ off-season pitching acquisitions has suffered an injury setback.

This is a big miss for the Yankees as they needed him as a good relief option in their bullpen.
Fans have reacted to the news, and they are understandably devastated. Some have wondered why their pitchers keep getting injured. Others were generally saddened by the news. They also hoped for a quick recovery.

With Kahnle out to start the season, it will be interesting to see how the Yankees maneuver their bullpen. They will start the season with one less pitching option. This was not the way they would have hoped to start the season. Many expect them to compete to make the World Series.
The Yankees are aiming for another deep playoff run
In 2022, the New York Yankees had a great season, finishing with 99 wins in the regular season. The postseason was a similar success with the team making the ALCS. But the Yankees will be hoping to replicate that form this season and push to make the World Series.
