Tensions have been rising in the New York Yankees dressing room. All because results have not gone their way, with poor all-around play and questionable decision-making. The same trend continued as the Yankees traveled to Anaheim to take on the Los Angeles Angels. A 33-year-old Bronx Bombers pitcher most recently allowed his emotions to overflow, following a poor result. 

In recent weeks, the team has experienced losses, even in matches they were initially winning. Furthermore, their skipper is being awarded sarcastic top performer labels. After a rough outing, this pitcher allowed tensions to get the best of him. 

Tommy Kahnle’s Emotional Outburst Becomes Twitter Sensation

The Yankees lost their series closer against the Angels, who swept them for the first time since 2009. It was a one-sided series with the Bombers’ offense struggling. As the video from the Talkin’ Yanks suggests, Kahnle displayed passionate disappointment at his performance and the impending loss.

After pitching in the 8th inning and giving up a run, Tommy Kahnle threw his mitt at a fan and then viciously stomped on it. The act of Kahnle undeniably confirms the accuracy of the tweet’s caption, stating, “Tommy Kahnle is furious with himself.”

The Bombers suffered their fourth loss in a row and continue to dive out of playoff contention. In a reply to that video, Codify baseball shared a Tweet saying that the mechanical fan was their biggest supporter. 

Most of the 2023 MLB season has been a rough period for him and the rest of the team. Evidently, although seemingly violent, Kahnle appeared to vent his frustrations and took it out on the fan.
