The Los Angeles Dodgers are making moves the fastest this off-season. They have now signed their super utility player Tommy Edman for a five-year deal covering seasons 2025-2029. This isn’t just another extension, but a testament that the Dodgers are banking on Edman’s versatility. They have given him a contract worth $64.5 million over four years and a $17 million signing bonus, and yet again, the deal’s total value of $25 million will be paid after a decade.
Edman has earned his stripes and cemented his name at the franchise. His performance at the NLCS was noteworthy, and he racked up 11 runs. But he caught the real spotlight in the World Series, delivering a.988 OPS and scoring six runs in five games. He proved his value to the team, and now, this contract extension proves—good work always talks the loudest. While he won over Dodger fans in the WS itself, he yet again won their hearts with his lovely gesture toward a fan.
