The Carlos Correa offseason saga has been going on for a few weeks now with no end in sight. Negotiations between the New York Mets and Correa have been taking place in the last few days. In the meantime, the star shortstop celebrated the New Year with his family. But there have been little to no concrete updates on the deal.

Correa has been spending a lot of time with his family and posting about them on social media. But his latest social media post seems to have gotten fans excited, as a hint of his future may have been revealed. 

Carlos Correa has posted a picture with his son and fans think he’s signed with the Mets

SNY Mets have shared a screenshot of Carlos Correa posing with his son on their Twitter account. Correa had shared an image of him with his son Kylo in an Instagram story. What made fans go wild was the t-shirt that Kylo was wearing. The t-shirt said “I heart NY” with a hotdog for the “I” and a pretzel for the “heart”. Furthermore, Correa was holding his son and a baseball glove as well. 

The tweet shared by SNY Mets said “Carlos Correa with his son Kylo this morning on Instagram”. Correa captioned the story, “Going to work with daddy today”.

This has led to a lot of speculation around Correa’s deal with the Mets and whether it will be done soon. Fans reacted with many speculating that this may be a sign that the deal is close to completion.

But there still remains an element of doubt as to whether the deal will happen. Since Correa agreed to the 12-year $315 million deal with the Mets, things have not been simple. But even now there is still a chance that the Mets and Correa agree to a deal.

How likely is it that Correa signs with the Mets?

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, it is more likely than not that a deal gets done. A source told Puma that there is a 55% chance that Correa and the Mets agree to a deal.
