Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees have finally agreed in their arbitration case. Given the 2022 MLB season is not over yet, Judge will be able to focus on games only. The two parties agreed upon a deal to avoid the arbitration of Judge. Not to forget that the Yankees slugger will become a free agent after the World Series this year.
Earlier, there were reports that Judge has been demanding $21 million, while the Yankees were not willing to give more than $17 million. However, the two parties have agreed upon a $19 million salary in 2022 and a couple of bonuses worth $500,000.

Currently, Aaron Judge is in his career-best form. He is on a pace to hit over 60 home runs by the end of the 2022 MLB season. Judge has been the pillar of strength for the Yankees over the years. After a fiasco in the 2021 season, he got the team together, and now they have become the top contender in winning the World Series.
Aaron Judge wants to bring the championship to the Yankees
Per ESPN, apart from $19 million, Judge will earn half a million dollars if he and the Yankees continue their good run till the end of the season. If the Yankees outfielder wins the American League MVP, he will be able to earn $250,000, and he will get an additional $250,000 if he becomes the World Series MVP.
After settling for a deal with the Yankees, Judge said he only wants to focus on winning games for the team.“Definitely you know, get back to focusing on baseball games and trying to bring a championship in New York. Glad we were able to get through that process,” Judge said.
“Took a little longer than expected, but thankfully we are past it, and time to focus on winning some games. I knew it would work out, one way or another… I was happy. We were able to agree on a number.”
