On July 9th, 2011, at Yankee Stadium, Jeter blasted a 400-foot home run off a curveball pitched by David Price of the Tampa Bay Rays. After he hits the ball out of the park, his Yankee teammates gather around him to celebrate the homer and congratulate him. Later, his wife was spotted in the stands clapping and celebrating his unprecedented achievement.

A Yankees fan named ZT shared this video on his Twitter handle, captioned “12 years ago today, Derek Jeter joined the 3,000 hit club. Iconic.” This is not any other hit from Jeter, but a hit that earned him a spot in the prestigious 3000-hit club, carving his name in MLB history forever.

With this remarkable feat, Captain Clutch became the first-ever New York Yankees player to reach the 3,000-hit milestone.
