The efforts of the New York Yankees captain are finally paying off. Per Aaron Judge’s statement, he tore the ligament in his right big toe, which costed him his three weeks to action. Unfortunately, this injury may also lead to him missing many more games. However, as they say, once a hero is always a hero. Despite his absence, he was most recently selected for a top mid-season honor in the first year of his $360 million contract.

Judge’s importance to the team as both a hitter and leader cannot be put into words. But his absence has made that fact abundantly clear after the Yankees losing streak. Hence, this latest honor further adds to his accolades.

Aaron Judge has missed more than three weeks with his toe injury after having some perfect form. The MLB recently announced all the starting position players on Twitter, and Judge made it for the American League.

In a Tweet, MLB said, “The reigning AL MVP, @TheJudge44, gets voted in as a starting outfielder for the AL. #AllStarGame”. The All-Star starter is taking baby steps!

In the latest updates, Aaron Judge was seen playing catch as he resumed baseball activity for the first time since his injury. This is a massive update as he progresses from strength training and balance work. But when speaking to reporters, Judge downplayed the significance of the update, saying that it’s just another step. It will be interesting to see if the Yankees’ organization offers a more concrete return timeline in the coming days and weeks. Only time will tell as the team’s captain slowly works his way back.
