JLo and A-Rod once registered their names to this list with a huge donation for Elementary School students.

In 2019, Brooke Goins, a teacher at Jacksboro Elementary School in Tennessee, posted an emotional piece on Facebook describing the condition of children without food. Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez’s food-delivery company, Tiller & Hatch, quickly responded to the viral post by providing a year’s worth of food for the children. In an Instagram Post, with a picture of a student receiving food from her hand, the pop-sensation expressed, “We heard teachers were helping students bring home food when they didn’t have enough. When we saw this story, it brought tears not just to my eyes but Alex’s as well!”

After this hefty food donation, Brooke Goins posted about a new pantry their school would open to provide children with a stable food supply. So, this situation would never occur in the future when children suffer from hunger. 

Though this kind gesture won most people’s hearts, a few have questioned whether it is a strategy to promote their new business. JLo and Alex Rodriguez were not only life partners but used to be business partners as well.

The actress revealed her new food delivery business after the food donation event. She emphasized the importance of owning a business, especially as a Latino. The 54YO added, “It’s about showing our community, this is what life can be. You can take charge and take ownership. It allows us to have a say in creating things that make people’s lives better and have partners that share our passion for giving back,”
