The New York Yankees, even after being one of the most powerful teams in Major League Baseball, are often criticized for subpar play. The Bronx-based side has not won or reached the world series in the last 13 years. Moreover, in these years, they have clinched the postseason berth only a few times. Rubbing salt into their woes, the Yanks have been heavily trashed by their fans. Further, if it wasn’t for the AL home run king, Aaron Judge, they may have missed the postseason last year as well.
After a lengthy postseason, when baseball is back in action with spring training, some minor league prospects have come to fame. Primarily because of the amazing play that they put on. To name a few, Jasson Dominguez and Anthony Volpe have caught the eyes of many. However, a recent update on Dominguez has left many fans irked.

How are the fans reacting to the player being sent back to the minors?
Considering that it’s been years since the Yanks made a world series appearance, the fans are frustrated. Bronx Bombers have the most number of World Series wins out of any in the big league. Therefore, after watching Dominguez play, they were hoping for a good season.
Following are some of the fans’ reactions towards Dominguez being sent back to the minors.
This is so, so stupid

Have you thought about not doing that?

Brilliant… cuz the team has IKF/Hicks/Donaldson 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
— Jonathan Tasini (Substack Working Life Newsletter) (@jonathantasini) March 17, 2023
I imagine this scenario playing out like this: Hicks watches another ball drop in fair territory 3 feet from him, strikes out 4 times, walks into the clubhouse, cracks a beer, farts, and looks as Dominguez who just hit his 4th HR in 5 games, burps, and says “someday kid”.

The fans are bound to be angry, but did the Yanks really make a bad decision? Some of the fans believe that the Yankees made the right one!
This is the right decision guys. Dude has like 10 games in AA ball. 2024 is the year
