After a huge win over the Seattle Mariners in Game 3, the Houston Astros completed the sweep and also booked their seat for the American League Championship Series. The Astros became the second team after the Phillies to confirm their Championship Series slot in the postseason.

Unlike the first two games, when Yordan Alvarez took the Astros home, Jeremy Pena, came clutch for the Dusty Baker-led team in Game 3, and helped his team complete the sweep against the Mariners. Although the Astros won the game in the ballpark, they might have hurt baseball fans by trolling the Mariners after a huge win in Seattle.

Houston Astros get trolled by the MLB community over sledding the Mariners

The Houston Astros came to Seattle with a 2-0 lead in the ALDS against the Seattle Mariners. Given the division series is a 5-game series, the Astros were just a win away from clinching their ALCS berth.

And considering it was a do-or-die game for the Mariners, they did everything to stop the star-studded Astros. Both teams fought hard until the Astros finally beat the Mariners in the 17th inning.

After winning the series, the Astros trolled the Mariners by posting a hilarious yet controversial image on Twitter. The image is showing how the Astros swept the Mariners. And baseball Twitter did not like it. 

One fan even called the Houston Astros classless after their controversial tweet, which triggered MLB fans, especially the Mariners. Several other tweets also criticized the Astros for unpleasantly trolling the Mariners.

Who will play the Astros in the ALCS?

Not long, but just a couple of days ago, the New York Yankees were the favorites to play the ALCS. However, things have changed drastically in the last 24 hours. Yes! After winning Game 1 against the Guardians, the Pinstripes have dropped two games in a row.

Currently, the Guardians have an upper hand against the Yankees with a 2-1 lead. And on top of that, now, the Guardians will play Game 4 in Cleveland.
