Gary Sheffield is an icon of the league. Sheffield played in the MLB for over two decades after his debut in 1988 with Milwaukee Brewers. The now 54-year-old was widely considered to be one of the most powerful hitters that graced the sport. Using the same strength, he hit his 500th home run in his forties, on April 17, 2009. With this record, Sheffield became the fourth oldest player to achieve this feat.
A decade later, his son Noah Sheffield is bringing the same force to the field. In a school baseball game, Noah used his father’s signature style to hit a two-run homer to send his team into the final, leaving the MLB community in awe of the young Sheffield.
