Fame, talent, money – Aaron Judge has it all. The sixteenth captain of the New York Yankees, respected by his teammates and beloved by all – All Rise, is a lifelong baseball fan living the dream. For someone of his caliber and stardom, one would expect Judge to be quick on his feet because interviewers can sometimes be ruthless. And yet, when asked a simple question like his favorite TV show, the 30-year-old needed time for some serious reflection.
It could be one of those moments that introverts describe having – a person could be an avid reader or an aficionado of music or a big movie lover. And yet, when asked about their respective interest, they suddenly forget their entire personality. While one could describe Judge as outgoing, he’s not exactly forthcoming about information on his personal life. Maybe the non-relation to baseball made him freeze?

That’s right, Aaron Judge is cooler than most adults. Although it took him some time to arrive at this conclusion, Judge declared Looney Tunes as his preferred choice. In an official Yankees’ TikTok, different players from the team were asked about their top shows. And the entire video showed clips of Judge thinking hard about how to answer the question.

“Favorite TV show? I feel like I’m taking the SAT,” the outfielder laughed. Of course, it would be unimaginable to question the sanctity of choosing something as serious as a TV show. In the world of Netflix and any number of other OTT platforms, cinema and anime dominate the game. So it’s only natural that most people have a show that they would recommend to others. It’s just that, with Judge, it’s a cartoon that most people have already seen in their childhood.
But honestly, who doesn’t enjoy a rewatch of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck getting up to their antics now and then?

The video covered several Bronx players, and while some gave similar answers, there was a variety that would impress any serious cinephile. Or telephile, if one prefers. Answers ranged from the crime drama Dexter to everyone’s favorite SpongeBob SquarePants. From LA-set Entourage to New York-based Friends, another animated show was Rocket Power.
Utility player Oswaldo Cabrera changed things up a bit with the Disney classic Drake and Josh, while pitcher Greg Weissert loves the masterpiece that is New Girl. Other sitcom classics like Seinfeld and The Office also got mentioned, along with F1 and House Hunters.
