Derek Jeter achieved success in baseball after years of hard work and became one of the best in MLB history. The entire sports industry knows about Jeter’s storied career in baseball of over two decades and the countless accolades he won playing for the New York Yankees. Being one of the top players in his field, Jeter shook hands with a myriad of athletes all over the country.
However, when Jeter hung up his cleats in 2014, he got the opportunity to indulge himself in other sports or hobbies. Hence, he tried his hand at golf. Notably, at first, he was as great at it as any pro golfer would be playing in MLB. However, with determination and quite some time on his hands, Jeter became slightly better at it. And for the second time in his life, he got to know how tough it is to become a pro athlete in any sport. Therefore, last year, Captain Clutch at the Derek Jeter Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament, while donning his athleisure brand, gave a reality check to all the alleged pro golfers.
What did Derek Jeter say about the alleged pro golfers?

While dreaming big is good, one should have to work hard enough to fulfill that dream as well. Putting in only a couple of years of work does not make anyone a pro at almost anything.
Hence, Greatness Wins posted a trip down memory lane of Jeter walking to his golf cart during the celebrity golf event. There, Jeter said, “I played with a couple of PGA Tour guys, like Rickie Fowler, Tiger, and Justin Rose, and when you see those guys play, you realize the difference between everybody else and the professionals. So all you guys think you’re a good golfer? You’re not.”
Therefore, according to Jeter, one might believe they’re the best at something. But there’s a high possibility of someone else having put in more hard work than them and being better. Notably, Jeter is not a pro at golf as well.
