The New York Yankees have started the 2022 season on a tear. With a record that has put them on top of the AL East, the Yankees look set for a solid season ahead. And their star power hitter, Aaron Judge, tends to agree. With a clip of the right fielder finding its way onto Twitter, it is clear that Judge expects to be in the conversation for the World Series in November. And with the pace that the Yankees are setting, their roster could well have the legs to make it into contention.

Every athlete competes to win. The Yankees are even more so. While success builds an interesting narrative, the Bronx has fallen short of the pennant a few times in recent history. Aaron Judge, though, believes that 2022 may finally be the year.
MLB consists of 30 teams. Every season there are some for whom it works, and some for whom it falls by the wayside. But Judge seems to think this may finally be the year that it clicks into place for the Yankees.
Aaron Judge bullish about the New York Yankees
Acknowledging the fact that it was different every year, Aaron Judge just felt like this roster was special. He iterated, “That’s the thing, each year is so different.”
"People wanna talk about contracts, that's not what I'm playing for. I'm playing to bring a championship back here to New York."

The Yankees have seen some stunning offensive and defensive displays to ensure top performance in their division, and Aaron Judge was all too aware of this. “Each year you come in and you have a good feeling about the squad,” he added, “But this year I feel like we have a good mix of everything.”

They say that an offense may win games, but it’s the defense that wins you the titles. A premise that the Yankees have proven to be all too true in 2022. Judge too was quick to acknowledge how he saw it. Judge said, “We got about three or four aces in our starting rotation and our bullpen. I wouldn’t want to face them,” with a grin and a light chuckle. “I’m glad we got a lot of those guys down there on our side.”
Looking to the season ahead, the Yankees will look to build and grow as the season progresses. Fans will be holding out for the Bronx’s first silverware since 2009, but until then Judge is concentrating on the ‘now’. Judge stated, “I just think we’re a complete team and we have fun doing it.”
