All-Star weekend has finally come to a close with the All-Star game. There were some epic moments as the MLB’s top talents faced off. Furthermore, it lived up to the hype, with the game going down to the wire in the ninth inning. But the NL Stars held onto their lead and won the game. And in doing so, the National League All-Stars ended an unwanted record.

When talking about the AL team, the absence of two strong players like Aaron Judge and Mike Trout was felt. And that was probably one of the reasons the Dusty Baker-led side lost the game and recorded their first defeat to the NL side in a decade.

The All-Star Game was highly anticipated, with the Celebrity Softball game and the Home Run Derby proving great appetizers. When the competition finally began, it did not disappoint. NL’s All-Stars won the game over the AL’s All-Stars in a close 3-2 contest. Furthermore, the National League side ended a 9-game losing streak at the All-Star game. Before this year’s contest, the NL had last won the game in 2012. The MLB announced that this streak was broken in a Twitter update.

In a Tweet, they said, “The drought is over! The National League wins the #AllStarGame for the first time since 2012!” This is a monumental moment for the National League s they win the marquee event once again. Although recent years have not been kind to them, 2023 was the big drought-ending year.

The reactions have been mostly positive. Some fans were unhappy with how the AL team performed.

Other fans lauded the NL team for their win.

There were even some fans who shared their thoughts on what went wrong.

It was a low-scoring game with some really good defensive work. Both sides put their best feet forward in terms of fielding and pitching. But the NL team managed one run more. But the hitting left much to be desired with several top sluggers unable to make contact.
