Recently, the New York Yankees completed a sweep over their arch-rivals, the Boston Red Sox, in a four-game series. Usually, no one would want to miss a single play during any Yankees v/s Red Sox game; But people with creepy smiles, have been attending several MLB games.

Notably, it is a PR campaign run by film company Paramount Pictures for their upcoming film ?Smile.? And to promote their film, the producers have come up with the most creative idea. The producers are sending their people to attend MLB games and smile continuously throughout the game.

Terrifying smiling people distract the audience during the New York Yankees v/s Boston Red Sox game

This is not the first time they are promoting their film with such creepy smiles. Apart from the Yankees v/s Red Sox game, these people have also been to the Dodgers v/s Cardinals, the Mets v/s Athletics, and another Yankees v/s Red Sox game.?

At first, it was an interesting sight for MLB fans to watch something different and distracting during the game. But now, since these smiling people are attending almost every single MLB game, baseball fans are not okay with it.?

Taking to Twitter, they expressed their anger over the same. Baseball fans criticized these people for attending MLB games and distracting them from the game. Another fan said the same.

?Once you see the lady promoting the #Smile movie behind home plate at the Yankees game? u can?t unsee it,? the tweet said.

Some baseball fans called it lame, while a few criticized and made fun of these smiling people.

When talking about the game, the Yankees swept the Red Sox after winning the fourth game 2-0 in the Bronx. However, the wait for Aaron Judge‘s 61st home run is not over, as the Yankees slugger did not hit a single home run in the entire four-game series against the Red Sox.
