The year 2022 belongs to the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge. When all the odds were against the Pinstripes until the start of the 2022 MLB season, the Yankees shocked everyone with their night-in and night-out dominant performances this season.
Under the leadership of Aaron Judge, the Yankees have dominated every opponent they have played this season. The Yankees slugger has been a pillar of strength for his team. With 30 home runs from the plate, Judge has also been probably the best MLB player this season.

But are the Yankees doing the right thing by putting so much burden on their marquee player? Not to forget that Judge has barely missed any game this season. An MLB analyst believes that the Yankees should utilize their star player properly.
MLB analyst on the workload on Aaron Judge
Apart from the first game of the ongoing series against the Boston Red Sox, the Yankees have rested Aaron Judge in only one game against the Baltimore Orioles earlier this season. While half of the 2022 season is yet to be played, the expectations are high from Aaron Judge. And that is why MLB analyst, Tom Verducci, wants the Yankees to reduce the workload of their star player.
Talking about the same, Verducci sounded off while saying that the Yankees are already looking for a guy who is the perfect match for Aaron Judge’s body physique.
“You mentioned Judge having an enormous year, right? It’s interesting though. I did the game last night, Yankees vs Red Sox. Judge, they gave him the day off because his legs, they say, we are just a little tired and sore. They are asking a lot of a guy, who is 6’7” and 282 pounds to be playing center field as much as he has,” Verducci said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

“Now, he has played great center field. But it is remarkable what he is doing at his size, playing a really good center field and getting to the break with at least 30 home runs. It’s an amazing season.”

Will Judge stay in the Bronx after the 2022 season?

However, Judge has always been vocal about his love for the Pinstripes. But if the Yankees do not offer him a better contract, he might head to a different MLB franchise, as teams like the New York Mets and SF Giants will not mind millions of bucks on a generational talent.
