Arguably, Aaron Judge is the face of the New York Yankees today. He made his MLB and Yankee debut in 2016 and has stuck to the Yanks since. Being one of the finest hitters in the world, in his 6-year career, Judge has already appeared on four All-Star teams and has won two Silver Slugger Awards. Till today, he’s hit 710 home runs in his career at a robust average of 0.280.

With the beginning of 2022, Judge entered free agency. Brian Cashman, General Manager of the Yanks, offered Aaron Judge $230 million for a seven-year contract. Markedly, Judge and the Yanks failed to meet at a common ground, leading to unsuccessful contract negotiations before the 2022 season.
Will Aaron Judge remain at the Yankees?
Consequently, Aaron Judge entered the new season betting on himself as a free agent. Without any doubt, the bet has paid off. However, the only barrier on his way to a massive contract is his age and questions about his consistency. Regardless of that, experts say that Judge wouldn’t even look at a contract less than $300 to $350 million. Simultaneously, multiple teams are looking to generously spend money on the 30-year-old.

Multiple rumors suggest that the two highest contending teams for Aaron Judge are:
- New York Yankees
- San Fransisco Giants
Markedly, Judge grew up only a few hours away from the Bay area. In an interview, Judge talks about watching multiple Giants games while growing up. He says, “Well, you know, growing up near the Bay area, I watched a lot of Giants games. I played shortstop, believe it or not, in the little league. I was a big Rich Aurilia fan. Jeff Kent and Barry Bonds.”
While talking about Giant legends whom he grew up watching, he said, “They made the game look easy at that time. It was a treat back then.”

Judge’s race to 61
Aaron Judge just hit his 51st home run of the season. He’s batted this season at a strong 0.297 and is comfortably leading the list of homers this season. Similarly, even the Yanks are safely topping the American League East Division at 0.603 with a significant margin over the Tampa Bay Rays. With an anchored postseason berth, (given his form) Judge has a sufficient number of games to cross Roger Maris at 61 homers in a single American League Season.
