Oakland Athletics fans are protesting against team owner John Fisher. This occurred outside the Oakland Coliseum and in the stands during home games as well. Most recently, the MLB edited a video of a home run to crop out Athletics fans that can be seen with signs criticizing Fisher. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Ryan Noda hit a home run. In the original video, while the ball is sailing into the stands, you can see the signs criticizing the Angels’ ownership. But surprisingly, the scene was missing from the video released by MLB. In a Tweet, Jomboy Media shared both the original and cropped videos for the fans to see.

In a Tweet, they said, “MLB cropped the video so you can’t see all the “sell the team” signs(h/t

Fans are fed up with Fisher due to his handling of one of MLB’s beloved franchises. The team has had rough times, both on the field and with issues at their home stadium. Protests are ongoing and will continue to happen as fans try to save the Athletics and keep the team in Oakland.

John Fisher is ruining the Athletics franchise

Over the last 2 and a half years, John Fisher has completely changed the Oakland Athletics franchise. The team transformed from a team competing for the playoffs in 2018, 2019, and 2020 to a not so successful MLB team today. Fisher made it happen by refusing to pay the team’s best players and the Athletics currently have the MLB’s lowest payroll. Fans are completely against his ownership and plans to move the team to Las Vegas. That and other controversial moves have resulted in the Athletics fans protesting against the team owner.
