And with one postponed game already, the recent history of unpredictable NYC weather has only continued to annoy fans further.

However, it wasn’t only the fans who grew restless awaiting the game to begin. Two Guardians outfielders, Will Brennan and Myles Straw reached the covered ballpark and started engaging with the frustrated Yankee crowd through a football.

Cleveland Guardians show a warm gesture to the frustrated fans at Yankee Stadium

As everyone awaited the commencement of the final ALDS decider, the two Guardian outfielders tossed a football to and from the bleachers amidst the weather delay.

While some fans believed that this was just a medium to get on the friendly side of hostile Yankee fans, others looked at this as a heartwarming display to entertain the crowd on a rather dull night. Some other fans simply compared the Guardians playing football to the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.

Notably, after the decider game five got suspended due to bad weather, the New York Yankees will take on Cleveland Guardians tonight at Yankee Stadium.

The National League Division Series witnessed a pair of surprising results with the qualification of San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies, who defeated the reigning NLCS pair, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. Therefore, the National League will house an underdog World Series appearance through either the Padres or the Phils.

On the other hand, the American league was home to a very predictable Houston Astros qualification, who humiliated the Mariners with an embarrassing 3-0 clean sweep.
