Gaining the best player does not equate to a win in the game. San Diego Padres won the Major League Baseball’s trade line by acquiring one of the best players. But that did not guarantee them a win, as they lost against the LA Dodgers by 8-1.

The Padres acquired some major players just a day before the MLB trade deadline, including the outfielder Juan Soto. But they are still unable to win.

LA Dodgers showed they do not need a major player to win

The Dodger Stadium became the witness of a much-anticipated match between the LA Dodgers and the San Diego Padres. Padres won the trade deadline by acquiring Soto alone, along with Josh Bell, Brandon Drury, and Josh Hader. They became a pretty strong team after acquiring such players.

They would have become sure of winning with this solid team, but unfortunately, it did not happen, and they lost. Padres is now a much-improved team, but the Dodgers told them that NL West still runs through them.

Padres was and still is the talk of the MLB town world, but now for different reasons. They became a pretty good team on paper, and everybody was looking at the series opener to know what was going to happen.?

And when they lost, they became the source of ridicule not only by the fans but also by the MLB analysts. Also, the LA Dodgers told everyone with that win that they can win without having a major player on their team.

Reactions of the Dodgers fans to their win were hilarious because the Padres were the talk of the town the past few days. Them having lost the game resulted in a lot of mocking not only by Dodgers fans but also by the MLB analysts.
