However, Tatis Jr has said that he accidentally took a medication that contained the banned substance. His father, Tatis Sr, said something that contradicted what his son had to say. Therefore, the whole explanation seems to be like a web of lies for everyone to accept.

Major League Baseball released a report on August 13 that Tatis Jr. tested positive for Clostebol, an anabolic steroid. Following this, the penalty from MLB was effective immediately. And he got banned from playing in the Majors for 80 games.?

Then came Fernando Tatis Sr.’s explanation of the scandal. And he said his son’s positive test report came from a spray he used to treat a fungus due to a haircut.

In a statement realized by the player’s union, Tatis Jr. has apologized for his mistake.
He said, “It turns out that I inadvertently took a medication to treat ringworm that contained Clostebol. After initially appealing the suspension, I have realized that my mistake was the cause of this result, and for that reason, I have decided to start serving my suspension immediately.”
