Alex Rodriguez is dealing with an unexpected health diagnosis that caught him off-guard. Although a diagnosis like this would be a problem for a lot of people, A-Rod has handled it with composure. The New York Yankees legend seems to have come to terms with his condition. Most recently, he shared the story of his diagnosis days after a massive social media move.

Alex Rodriguez shares the story of his gum disease diagnosis

Earlier this month, Alex Rodriguez revealed that he has been diagnosed with early-stage gum disease, shocking millions. The Yankees legend also mentioned that the condition is incurable but can be managed with proper treatment. Furthermore, he has also started an incredible social media campaign spreading awareness of the disease to his 4.1 million Instagram followers. Most recently, he shared the story of how his dentist diagnosed him with gum disease. A-Rod talked about that and other things during an interview with Forbes.

According to Forbes, Rodriguez said, “I just went to my regular dentist meeting, which I don’t think anybody enjoys doing, but during that process I found out that I have gum disease.” He then further said, “Obviously anytime you hear the word ‘disease’ you get super scared but the good news is I found out it’s treatable.”

Despite the lifelong condition, A-Rod has shown a positive outlook on it. Furthermore, he is doing his utmost to spread awareness about the condition and oral health and hygiene. But the Yankees legend faced a scary health issue last year as well, even asking fans for help. 

A-Rod dealt with a serious eyesight issue last year

Alex Rodriguez is experiencing a lot of emotions as he goes through a health scare. But this isn’t a first for the Yankees legend. Just last year, A-Rod suffered a severe problem with his eyesight. In an Instagram video, he admitted to having severe issues with his sight. A-Rod could not read his text messages or emails. Furthermore, he even joked about being able to tell whether his phone is an iPhone or Blackberry. He even asked for help in the video. Now, the Yankees legend is coming to terms with his latest health issue.
