Sometimes, you just chance upon a career—and that is the case with Derek Jeter. We aren’t talking about his career in baseball, where he scooted the New York Yankees to win the championship a whooping five times, but rather, broadcasting! Captain Clutch never really wanted to try his hands on broadcasting. In fact, he told FOX his initial answer was ‘absolutely not.’ But well, FOX did work its magic and get the legend on board, Jeter joined Fox Sports in 2023.

He stepped down as CEO of the Miami Marlins in 2022, and the timing just seemed to have aligned. Jeter is a natural at broadcasting, not to mention the dynamics he shares with his fellow analysts like Alex Rodriguez and Kevin Burkhardt, are phenomenal. With that tinge of humor and lots of banter, they’re a treat for most baseball fans. At this point, is there anything Jeter can’t ace at, whether it’s baseball, business, or broadcasting?

Derek Jeter and his fellow analyst were in the middle of a discussion. Jeter was trying to delve further into Walker Buehler’s performance, but he was cut short by the producer. Just as Jeter was about to speak, the signal came to cut the segment short. As the professional Jeter is, he swiftly took charge and said, “He’s; we’re going to get to him later, I guess. All right, that’s what I was just told. We’ll come back more on Walker Bueller later in the show.” Jeter easily masked the live TV slip-up.

Then, Alex Rodriguez, a pro at broadcasting by now, took charge to mask the live TV mishap even further, but with banter. Nice teasing; I love it; the captain is teasing, whoa,” said A-Rod. Later, the host chimed in and explained how Derek was about to talk, and Jonathan Kaplan the producer said, “You’re done.” Everyone in the room burst into laughter, while Jeter said, “Thanks for having me, guys,” adding more laughs to an already fun moment.

Whether it’s playing baseball, analyzing the game, or even handling a slip-up—Derek Jeter is just a pro; or is it just his month? Remember, his nickname is Mr. November!

Can Derek Jeter predict the future?

Derek Jeter has been phenomenal at the role of analyst. Plus, he isn’t a seasoned pro, making it even more inspiring. His predictions have come true many times; for example, when things were looking low for the New York Yankees, Jeter gave some great advice. According to the former New York Yankee, the team shouldn’t shoulder all the pressure to judge alone but rather play it as a team sport. And well, look at the Yankees now – they are working to push the team and even Judge homered. Taking some pressure off his shoulders helped it, but this isn’t all.

Ahead of the NCLS Game 3 of the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets, Derek Jeter had predicted that the team in blue would take the win. Plus, he even gave a score of 6-4! While the score might not be as accurate, he sure was on point with who takes the win—it was indeed the LA Dodgers. Ohtani hit a three-run homer, then Kike Hernandez hit a two-run shot as the Dodgers sealed it with an 8-0 victory.
