The people at Fangraphs have released their projections of the top home run hitters of the year. It’s no surprise that the reigning AL MVP, Aaron Judge, is at the top of the list. 

According to MLB.com, with a historic 62-homer season under his belt, he’s the only slugger projected to hit 40-plus home runs in 2023. Following him, Mike Trout is hot on his heels with a projected 39 home runs. Fernando Tatis Jr. isn’t far behind with 35 home runs.

The prediction has sent Twitter into a frenzy. With fans debating and making their own assumptions about who will rise to the top.
