In the 2022 season, one player stood out above the rest, cementing his place in history as one of the greatest sluggers of this generation. With a record-breaking 62 home runs, Aaron Judge has shown that he has what it takes to be among the best.

The 2023 MLB season is just around the corner. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see who will claim the coveted title of home run king. Will it be a repeat champion or a new challenger? The people at Fangraphs have released their projections of the top home run hitters of the year. It’s no surprise that the reigning AL MVP, Aaron Judge, is at the top of the list.
According to MLB.com, with a historic 62-homer season under his belt, he’s the only slugger projected to hit 40-plus home runs in 2023. Following him, Mike Trout is hot on his heels with a projected 39 home runs. Fernando Tatis Jr. isn’t far behind with 35 home runs.
