Arguably, the most feared hitter in the history of Major League Baseball, Barry Bonds, once hit a massive homer in the second game of the world series. It was his second homer of the series as well.

That homer left everyone present in the ballpark shocked because none of them has ever seen one that massive. It shocked everyone, including Angel’s outfielder Tim Salmon in the dugout.

Bonds hit his 756th home run to break the record of late ‘Hammerin’ Hank and went on to become the home run king having seven hundred and sixty-two homers in his hands.?

Where did Barry Bonds hit the ball?

The ball, as per the commentator, “ripped into the right field” and was not seen by anyone.

And it was the first time that outfielder “King Fish” has ever seen a ball that far. When the ball was hit, he could be seen saying,?“That’s the furthest baseball I’ve ever seen hit.”

Even though it was not the furthest that Bonds ever hit a ball, it was the furthest that Salmon has ever seen.

Despite being such a strong player, having many records to his name, and being the disputed home run king, the most feared hitter Barry Bonds never got inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Why is Bonds a disputed home run king?

From 2001 to 2006, MLB records showed that Bonds is one of the people, who used multiple doping substances. The substances included, injectable anabolic steroids, injectable human growth hormone, post-cycle therapy drugs, and amphetamines.

Later on, Bonds also accepted that he took steroids unknowingly by his manager. Therefore, the home run king remains disputed to this day. And no longer can be inducted into the Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame for the same reason.??
