Achieving history is difficult, but just falling short of it is painful. Shohei Ohtani has been accomplishing historic feats in recent years, with his top performances as a two-way phenom. This has earned him a place among elite players. During the Los Angeles Angels’ most recent game, Ohtani, the two-way phenom, fell one step short of another historic achievement. This caused fans to react, lamenting as the Japanese star got so close, but just missed it.
Ohtani recently recovered from a batting slump and looks to be getting into better form. Unfortunately for the two-way phenom, he was unable to achieve this historic feat, and fans felt his pain.

In the bottom of the 8th, Ohtani smashed a big hit that looked like the home run he needed but ended up being caught out at the warning track.
