Family is important to Alex Rodriguez. Today, it forms an integral part of his daily life. The New York Yankees legend puts his two daughters above all else. A-Rod has focused heavily on being a good parent since retiring from baseball. His MLB career took away precious time with his children. Most recently, he revealed how his daughters make him feel a unique emotion.

Rodriguez regularly gushes about his daughters and how proud he is of what they’re achieving. But they also seem to make him nervous, as the baseball legend pointed out in a recent interview. 

Alex Rodriguez feels nervous because of his daughters

Alex Rodriguez recently appeared on the Club30 podcast and talked about baseball, and his businesses, among other things. One question that he was asked was about what makes him nervous. Rodriguez took a few seconds to think before talking about his daughters. He first talked about his older daughter Natasha, then also mentioned his younger daughter Ella. A-Rod listed all the different things that his daughters are experiencing that make him nervous. The Yankees legend also stressed the importance of being a father.

During the podcast, A-Rod said, “What makes me nervous today is my daughter. Just had prom a couple of days ago. That makes me nervous. Um, my daughter’s driving, she’s a senior, uh, she’s going to Michigan next year. My little one, Ella, is a freshman, uh, that makes me nervous. There’s no responsibility in the world that’s more important than being a father.”

This is an honest admission from the retired third baseman as he gives us a closer look at his worries. But despite all the nervousness that he is feeling, A-Rod recently celebrated a massive milestone for his older daughter.

A-Rod’s older daughter Natasha graduated from High School

Alex Rodriguez and his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis recently celebrated the High School graduation of their older daughter Natasha. It was a big moment for the Yankees legend as he prepares to send his firstborn to college. Natasha committed to the University of Michigan and will be getting a BFA in Musical Theatre. She starred as Cinderella in a recent school play, showing off her passion for theatre as well.
