It’s the end of an era. Los Angeles has long boasted the power duo of Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. But at least one of them may finally be leaving. The Japanese wonder is about to hit free agency after the season, which may be over for the Angels sooner rather than later. It’s understood that the writing is on the wall. It’s time to pack up and leave.

A UCL tear has kept the slugger away from pitching and a right oblique injury has stolen time away from the plate. No surgery updates have been given yet but it seems like the two-way star would rather get started on it sooner rather than later. According to recent reports, Sho-time may be done with LA.

Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register just reported that Shohei Ohtani has cleared out his locker in the Angels clubhouse. Even the team doesn’t know what it means just yet and they won’t find out until tomorrow. But to most fans, it’s clear what is happening. Ohtani is most likely leaving.

It’s unlikely that Ohtani will opt to stay with the same team that has failed to make it to the postseason in the six years he has been here. Of course, baseball fans around the league want him to join a club that allows him personal as well as team success.

The Angels failed to trade him at the August deadline in the hopes of re-signing him. Halos fans were furious and their predictions are now coming true. Without getting at least something in return, the Angels will now lose their superstar.

Needless to say, Anaheim is furious with the front office, but especially owner Arte Moreno.

Los Angeles Angels Fans Are Livid

One would assume that a team would have information on their most talked-about player’s whereabouts. But since his locker clearing, Ohtani has been spotted in Japan, social media is in chaos, and the Halos have no answers.

Most fans blame Arte Moreno.

Another cursed the team for ruining the primes of Trout and Ohtani.

One wanted to burn down Moreno’s house.

One fan declared they would root for Shohei Ohtani even if he went to their crosstown rivals, the Dodgers.
