The months-long MLB season has finally ended. The year-long fights and stats calculation are at an end, with the Texas Rangers achieving their first World Series trophy. After a head-to-head fight, the Rangers won the series 4-1 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, while the trophy is the biggest achievement that teams fight for, other perks sweeten the pie.

All the playoff teams receive some financial bonuses, but of course, the winners get the most. Like every year, the winners of this season will also go home with deep pockets. But this time, there?s some twist in the division as two Rangers players get benefits from the breakdown policy.

The playoff pool bonus is for all the playoff teams, but the winners are getting the priority. The pool is primarily the amount the authorities earn from selling tickets during the playoffs and the World Series. The total amount is then split among the teams, with the winners getting the most numbers. A recent tweet reveals the breakdown of the bonus. It shows the Rangers getting ?the largest share of the $100,000,000+ playoff bonus pool.?

The split has a specific breakdown structure. The authorities follow that to calculate the amount the team members get from the bonus pool. As entrepreneur Jacob Turner reveals, for the League Championship and World Series, players get 60% of the gate receipts for the first 4 games. If the series goes beyond 4 games, the owners will get 100%.

That?s not the only rule. The entire postseason comes under this breakdown structure. The players will get 60% of the gate receipt for the first 2 Wild Card games, but if the series goes to Game 3, 100% will go to the owners. Similarly, in the Division Leagues, Players get 60% of the gate receipts for the first 3 games. But if the series is prolonged to Games 4 and 5, the owners will get 100%.

The tweet also has the rules of who gets paid. According to them, this season, two Rangers players, Brock Burke and Ezequiel Duran, are getting benefits of the pool for their contributions in the last few games. Though they have played only 2 games, they now claim the equal bonus with the others who have played throughout the postseason.

According to Turner?s post, teams decide behind closed-door meetings on who will get paid what. He revealed, ?Players are paid based on service time for that year.? If they played big leagues for half a year, they would get half of the bonus. But making it to the playoff roster will earn them the full bonus, irrespective of the number of games they have played.
