The Texas Rangers are finally the World Series champions. After losing it in their first two attempts, the Bruce Bochy-led side won their maiden title. With the scoreline 5-0, as Josh Sborz snuck out Ketel Marte in the ninth inning, the Texas Rangers recorded a famous victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This is the victory that they had been searching for all along for the last 63 years. It was the first time the Rangers were able to lift the biggest title of the game. As the Rangers huddled around and celebrated, there was one man who would be in the center of it all.

In a win that is one for the ages, the Rangers can take pride in the spectacular results that they have achieved. As they stand on top of the mountain, the credit goes to the team effort and belief that made them win the World Series in only five games. This season, the Rangers have a lot of heroes that will go down in history. The list includes their manager, Bruce Bochy, too.

As Bruce Bochy lifted the World Series title during the post-match celebrations, it was the fourth time for the 68-year-old. He would have already been among the debates of great managers, but this win has put him in the company of the greatest. With his fourth big title win, Bochy now stands 6th on the list of the most titles won by MLB managers. The veteran won his first 3 titles with the San Francisco Giants in 2010,2012 and 2014.

Alongside him in the list with 4 titles are Hall of Famer Dodgers’ manager Walter Alston and former Yankee manager Joe Torre. Joe McCarthy & Casey Stengel top the list with 7 titles. Meanwhile, the grand old man of baseball, Connie Mack, is third with 5 titles to his name.

A visibly jubilant Bochy, after winning the title, gave credit to his team. As per CBS.com, he said “I knew this (Rangers) was the right fit for me,” he added “I knew their vision, and then when I first got to the ballpark, I said ‘I really made the right decision. It’s incredible how all this happened.” But that is not all that the 68-year-old is about.
