The Yankees are currently facing off against the Reds with the hope of getting the series sweep. But skipper Aaron Boone has been ejected in the first inning after arguing a call with the umpires. With two outs and Jonathan India on first, Reds first baseman Spencer Steer hit what was deemed a foul ball. But after a review, the ball was called to be fair. The controversy arose when Jonatan was allowed to score a run on the overturned play, instead of being put on third base. This led to the argument and Boone’s subsequent ejection. Baseball content creator Dillard Barnhart shared a video of the ejection on Twitter.

In a Tweet, he said, “Aaron Boone has been tossed. Third ejection of the season.” This has put the Yankees in a tough position without their manager. But a majority of the game is left to play and the team could possibly win. But Boone seems to be breaking records as many sources are reporting that he may be the first manager to be ejected before noon.

It will be interesting to see how the Bombers fare with their skipper missing from the dugout. Regardless of this result, they have an important series coming up against the Baltimore Orioles. But despite this rough start, there is one thing for fans to celebrate.

Luis Severino returns to the mound

Although the Aaron Boone ejection has overtaken the headlines, Yankees fans have a reason to celebrate. Luis Severino is back on the mound after beginning the season on the injured list. This is a huge moment for the Bombers, as they have dealt with a thin bullpen. Furthermore, although he gave up an early run, Severino was able to close the inning with just one run conceded.
