Shohei Ohtani, or ‘Showtime’, is shaking up the baseball world with his unmatched skills on the field and captivating charm off it. The two-way sensation, who excels as both a hitter and pitcher, has just joined forces with the sports apparel and footwear brand, New Balance.

Ohtani is leaving his mark on the sports world in more ways than one and is now in New Balance gear. He joins a star-studded roster of athletes. Including tennis sensation Coco Gauff and New York Met’s Francisco Lindor. And when talking about Lindor, it is a well-known fact that the Mets are one of the potential landing spots for the two-way phenom. So, is Lindor welcoming Ohtani an indirect hint at something?

Speculation is swirling as the New York Mets appear to be going all-in on securing two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani when he becomes a free agent. The team’s owner has reportedly been in talks with higher-ups. And it seems like even the players themselves are hoping for Ohtani to join their roster.

Lindor and tennis prodigy Coco Gauff also voiced their excitement, with Lindor posting a photo of Ohtani on social media and captioning it “Welcome to the NB family, Shohei Ohtani”. 

The excitement among fans has only increased with the recent news that Ohtani has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with New Balance. The same brand as Mets player Francisco Lindor.
